What we sell, and what it costs
MiSalon is software a salon pays for monthly: R99 a month for one person, R299 a month for a whole salon, R149 a month for each extra branch. Prices include VAT. There is no minimum term and you may stop at any time. The full terms are on the terms page, and how we handle information is on the privacy page.
Paying
Subscriptions are paid by debit order or card on this website. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number. Deposits your own clients pay run through your own PayFast, Yoco or Ozow account, straight to you.
Changing your mind
Every salon starts on 30 days free, with no card, so you can try the whole thing before you pay anything. Section 44 of the ECT Act also gives a consumer seven days to cancel an electronic transaction; tell us within seven days of your first payment and we refund it in full.
If something goes wrong
Email help@misalon.co.za first; most things are sorted the same day. If we cannot agree, South African law applies. You may also take a complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, and anything about personal information to the Information Regulator of South Africa (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za).
PAIA manual
The Promotion of Access to Information Act lets you ask what information a business holds about you, and ask for a copy. Every private company must publish how to do that. Ours:
- Information Officer: privacy@misalon.co.za.
- Records we hold: company and staff records; salon accounts and what each salon put into MiSalon (their clients, bookings, sales, stock); billing and payment records; support messages; website and server logs.
- How to ask: email the Information Officer with your name, what you want, how you want it (email or post), and enough detail to find it. Use the Regulator's Form 2 if you prefer; it is on inforegulator.org.za.
- What it costs: nothing to ask for your own personal information. For other records, the fees in the PAIA regulations apply, and we tell you the amount before we start.
- How long we take: 30 days, and we may ask for 30 more if the request is large. We say why if we refuse, and you may appeal to the Information Regulator or a court.
- A salon's clients: a client's information belongs to the salon, not to us. If you are a salon's client, ask the salon; we help them answer.
